Whenever I feel bored...

Every time I start to get bored with my pregnancy, I lie down and rub my belly. Sure enough, my baby starts to kick, and I think about how wonderful it will be when I'm able to hold him. ^_^

Baby is coming out this weekend!

I failed to attend the breastfeeding symposium..

And it's all because of the typhoon... Anyways, I just made a simple research on how to breastfeed and found this very helpful. Thanks to babycenter.com for the very informative article.

Breastfeeding how-to

Start by placing your nipple between your baby's upper lip and nose (higher than pictured here), then encourage her to open wide by gently brushing her upper lip with your nipple. Another option is to brush your baby's cheek with your nipple, which will cause her to turn toward it with her mouth open.		When your baby is "rooting" (looking for the breast with her mouth open), pull her to your breast (rather than bringing your breast to her mouth).
As your baby latches on, you want her to get a big mouthful of breast tissue. The best way to do this is with an "asymmetric latch," which means that she gets more breast tissue on the underside of the areola, rather than an equal amount all around.		Your baby's lips should be opened wide around the breast. The best latch is one in which you don't feel any pain and your baby is getting milk. (Listen for the sound of your baby swallowing.) If latch-on hurts, break the suction – by inserting your little finger between your baby's gums and your breast – and try again.
As your baby nurses contentedly, hold her close. You may also want to support your breast, especially if your breasts are large.		Getting comfortable with breastfeeding takes time – for you and your baby. Don't be discouraged. Once you and your baby are in sync, breastfeeding can be a beautiful experience.

Braxton Hicks Contractions

Xian is about to come out and I'm getting BH Contractions almost every 10 minutes. I know it isn't true labor yet but it hurts like a sh*t. Anyways, I made a simple research about Braxton Hicks and True Labor and how it feels like. 

What Do Braxton Hicks Contractions Feel Like?

Braxton Hicks contractions can be described as tightening in the abdomen that comes and goes. These contractions are typically not painful and do not occur at regular intervals. They do not get closer together, do not increase with walking, do not increase in how long they last, and do not feel stronger over time as they do when you are in true labor.

What Do True Labor Contractions Feel Like?

The way a true labor contraction feels is different for each woman and may feel different from one pregnancy to the next. Labor contractions cause discomfort or a dull ache in your back and/or lower abdomen, along with pressure in the pelvis. Some women may also feel pain in their sides and thighs. Some women describe contractions as strong menstrual cramps, while others describe them as strong waves that feel like diarrhea cramps.

I never knew that pregnancy could be so beautiful. I really enjoy walking around naked and I admit that I can’t help but stare in awe at my ever changing body. It’s such a wonderful feeling and I still can’t believe I have this lil human-being growing inside of me.

The process of pregnancy is just so beautiful. I’ve never felt this feminine in my entire life. And damn I’m sexy too...  btw I'm reposting my 28 weeks preggy bump pics along with my pre-preggy belly pics. Mind to spot the difference?!? =)))

Pregnancy survey

OMG! I can't believe that i'm now 37 weeks along and baby Xian is about to come out anyime soon. btw here's the last bit of my monthly pregnancy survey:

How far along?   37 weeks!

Total weight gain? 27 lbs. Maternity clothes?  sexy lil dress... (nothing has changed..lolz)

Stretch marks?  Nothing on my belly yet... Thank God!

Sleep? Still can't sleep well. Xian is moving way too much inside my belly. seems that he's also excited to come out and see the world! =)
Best moment this week?  it's a roller coaster ride this week.... nothing's new..

Movement?   Though baby is running out of room, Xian is consistently active.. What a healthy baby! 

Food cravings?  Sweets! frozen oreo cheesecake, banana split and lechong Cebu.. Labor Signs?  Bleeding last Friday, back pains and braxton hicks almost every hour.

What I miss?  Wearing high heels shoes! eating unhealthy foods... What I am looking forward to? My D-day!
